Silverstone Group was established in 2002 in Vithura, Thiruvanathapuram, Kerala. The Vithura factory produces Technically Specified Rubber (TSR). The company started operations in Ernakulam in 2006 with a factory dedicated to rubber compound Master Batch Mixing. In 2014 Silverstone further diversified into retreading material under the brand name "Silverstone Mileage". In 2015 Silverstone started a new factory in Palakkad with a unit dedicated to Precured Tread Rubber and other retreading materials and second unit for Master Batch Mixing exclusively for MRF.
This facility produces Technically Specified Rubber under dry process using field coagulum, cup lumps and unsmoked sheet rubber. "The grades mainly produced are TSR 10 & TSR 20. Silverstone produces about 20000 tonnes of TSR annually (in FY 2009/10 Silverstone had close to 40% market share of the total TSR grades produced in India and was one of the largest exporter of TSR). Additionally Silverstone's affiliates are producing RSS 5, RSS 4 and TSR grades. The total quantity produced by Silverstone and its affiliates is well over 45000 tonnes annually.
Most of the world renowned tyre companies like Goodyear, Bridgestone, Apollo, Birla, JK Tyres, MRF Tyres, etc. have inspected and approved this facility. The facility has an in-house lab with modern equipment's to verify that each product batch meets all stipulated quality standards. Additionally "Indian Rubber Board & Goodyear Orient" monitors the quality of the processing and the final product regularly to ensure that the quality is enforced. As a result Silverstone was awarded ISO-9002 recently.
This facility consists of rubber compound Master Batch Mixing unit. The compound produced is used in tyre manufacturing. The unit is used to produce the compound for major tyre manufactures in India like Apollo tyres Ltd ,Ceat tyres Limited ,TVS Srichakra Ltd ,J.K tyre e.t.c
The latest addition to the Silverstone Group, This state of the art facility has two units. The first is dedicated to the manufacture of retreading materials like Precured Tread Rubber, Conventional Tread Rubber , Bonding Gum , BVC etc.
The second is a in house designed rubber compound Master Batch Mixing unit which has adopted modern rubber compound mixing method using K 4 Intermix. This has improved and lifted the quality and quantity of master batch compound. The Company has consistently met customer and statutory requirements and has procured ISO 9001-2008 QMS certification.
